Discovering Tottenham is an online and print magazine that explores local organisations and businesses in Tottenham and the people behind them.
It all began in May 2016 when I started posting images on Instagram of places in Tottenham I’d visited, this was closely followed by the launch of discoveringtottenham.com in September 2016. In 2018, DT produced four print supplements (Food & Drink, Music & Performance, Fashion & Beauty, Craft). For 2019, a Spring print edition was released to launch Tottenham Ale, a beer collaboration between DT and Brewheadz.
Alongside this DT ran five community events between February 2017 and March 2019. Highlights included: a collaboration with new local barber shop Idris Barbering Company to help launch the shop and celebrate the DT Fashion & Beauty issue, and a party at Brewheadz taproom to launch a collaboration beer which has been stocked in venues around Tottenham.

– 2000 copies of each print magazine were distributed to over 40 venues in and around Tottenham
– I filmed and produced 12 videos and created a couple of podcasts for the website
– DT has held 5 community events
Discovering Tottenham was built and designed using WordPress. The print magazine was produced using InDesign and proved to be very popular with the local community!
